About Us
Who owns Funk n Junk?
Our business is owned and operated by a highly motivated and very positive team led by Johnny Lasso. Our passion is to recycle tonnes of "garbage" and unwanted items that would otherwise be destined for the landfill. It is easy just to throw everything away in the highly disposable society we live in.
Is any charitable work involved?
We have also been volunteering our services to the Bicycles for Humanity not-for-profit for the last 5 years. We have packed countless shipping containers full of bikes, parts and tires, wheelchairs, outdated hospital beds and equipment and medical supplies. We have been a contributor to the pick-ups and drop-offs of bicycles and many quality items people have donated for their fundraising auctions. These auctions help raise the money to be able to send these sea-cans across the world to Ghana to deserving people in need. Giving back to the community is very important to us!
What sets us apart from others?
We are creative and mechanically inclined individuals who will fix up, refurbish, repurpose, or build just about anything! We redo old bicycles, motorcycles, vehicles, furniture, etc. Last year, we restored the truck that we now use to help you get rid of unwanted clutter and refuse from your space. There is no job too big or small and no one who will work harder than us! Help keep Kelowna sustainable and give us a call to get rid of whatever you need gone!
